Feb 27, 2025 – May 12, 2025
Mixed media paintings, countless inspirations, and a world of color. That’s how this collection was born. Bold art. Rooted in heritage. Taking flight.
Now on display at Vibe, Taking Flight showcases the work of Washington-based artist Melissa McCanna. Through acrylic paint and mixed media, McCanna explores themes of movement, transformation, and connection to place.
The exhibition features vibrant paintings of flowers, birds, and landscapes infused with the colors, patterns, and motifs of Mexico and the ancient Aztec and Mayan worlds. Each piece tells a visual story shaped by McCanna’s travels and experiences.
