Get to know Sarah and discover what inspires her, both in- and outside of Vibe.
Sarah joined the Vibe Coworks team in October 2024 as our first official After Hours Host. With a keen eye for detail and a natural knack for hospitality, she impressed us from day one—earning glowing feedback after her very first event.
A bookkeeper by day and an event host by night, Sarah brings a passion for connection, community, and creating memorable gatherings.
Tell us a little about yourself and your background.
Sarah: I am a proud Washingtonian, born and raised, with a strong connection to this beautiful state. My professional journey began on Bainbridge Island, where I launched my career in property management straight out of high school.
As I explored new opportunities and refined my skill set while attending Olympic College, I found my true calling in bookkeeping. Now, I have the privilege of working with a dynamic bookkeeping firm, helping clients across the vibrant Kitsap and King countries navigate their financial landscapes.
What drew you to Vibe Coworks, and what excites you most about joining the team?
Sarah: What began as a few client meetings quickly blossomed into a genuine passion for the vibrant space and community that Vibe offers. I was excited to officially join the team, embracing a role that allows me to gain deeper insights and forge valuable connections with businesses and organizations beyond my usual network.
Outside of After Hours events at Vibe, you’re definitely working on other things too. How do you spend your time, and what are you working on when you’re not on the Vibe clock?
Sarah: In 2023, my husband and I took the exciting step of purchasing our first home, and it’s certainly been a labor of love! Much of our free time lately has been dedicated to renovating the house, workshop, and building a greenhouse. I’ve always had a passion for gardening, and working in the yard, so it’s been incredibly rewarding. We’re almost finished tackling some larger projects with the hope of adding chickens to our little homestead later this year!
What’s your favorite part of hosting events, and what makes an event truly memorable for you?
Sarah: I appreciate the chance to experience community events from behind the scenes, which has helped me gain a better understanding of what Kitsap has to offer, especially as I choose not to be on social media.
Without social media, it’s easy to miss out on many opportunities, so this has been a helpful way to stay informed. It has also given me the chance to reconnect with a few people I had lost touch with over the years, which has been a nice experience.
What’s one event or experience you’ve attended that you’d love to recreate (or adapt) for the Vibe community?
Sarah: I feel truly fortunate to live in Washington State, where access to local and organic food is abundant. It’s been inspiring to watch the communities in Jefferson and Mason counties expand their agricultural organizations and events.
I’d love to help organize or attend events that bring local farmers together to discuss sustainable food sourcing across the county and explore creative ways to support families in need.
How do you see After Hours meetings and events helping members (and the community) connect in new ways?
Sarah: Vibe is truly one of a kind on this side of the Peninsula, offering a distinctive experience unlike anything else. The After Hours event space is a perfect example of this, available to both members and non-members. It provides a versatile venue for conferences, events, company meetings, or community forums in a central, accessible location, tailored to the needs of the host.
While Kitsap offers many recreational event spaces, Vibe stands out by providing entrepreneurs and businesses with a more refined, thoughtfully curated option.
What’s a hobby or passion of yours that people might not guess?
Sarah: I really enjoy making stained glass pieces and hope to create more time for this hobby in 2025!
What’s your favorite way to spend a free evening?
Sarah: By the bonfire on our property with our family.
What’s your personal philosophy when it comes to building connections?
Sarah: I believe in the Golden Rule of “Treat others how you wish to be treated”.
OK. Now for some rapid fire…
Beach Vacation or mountain getaway?
Sarah: Mountain getaway.
Favorite movie or TV series?
Sarah: How about both? Shape of water has to be my favorite movie at the moment. Twin Peaks takes the cake for favorite TV series.
Dogs or cats?
Sarah: Dogs
What’s one bucket-list item you hope to check off soon?
Sarah: Exploring the East Coast during the fall.
