Meet Kelsi Nymon: Kitsap’s new connector at Vibe Coworks

Been to Vibe yet this year? Then you’ve likely had the pleasure of seeing a friendly new face at the Welcome Desk!

We’re delighted to kick off 2025 by welcoming Bremerton local, Kelsi Nymon, to the Vibe staff team as our first Community Coordinator.

We’re *thrilled* to have her on the team, not least because Kelsi is all about fostering connections, elevating community, and radiating creativity. An entrepreneur herself with deep roots in recruiting and HR, as well as the arts, Kelsi brings a dynamic blend of professional expertise and personal passion to everything she does.

Learn more about her here, and be sure to say hello and introduce yourself the next time that you’re in so that she can learn more about YOU, too.

Kelsi joined the Vibe Coworks staff team in January 2025 as our first part time Community Coordinator (huzzah!)

A jewelry artist, world traveller, and passionate champion for sustainability, DEI and the arts, Kelsi Nymon is preparing to launch her own company, Peninsula Notary Services, in February 2025.

Tell us a little bit about yourself: what you do, and what you love.

Kelsi: I’m a proud local of the greater Puget Sound area, but I made the jump to Kitsap County about 2.5 years ago, and I’m absolutely loving life on this side of the water.

My roots run deep in the recruiting and human resources space where I’ve recruited in sales, real estate, and tech, and even moonlighted in NewSpace and Clean Tech, where I’ve spent time as a HeadHunter.

I’m all about sustainability, DEI, the arts, and building strong communities.

What’s the most unusual or exciting job you’ve had to date?

Kelsi: One of my most rewarding experiences was working part time as a freelance writer, crafting blog posts and social media strategies for a diverse range of small businesses. From a renowned Mexican ceramic artist based in Arizona to a Reiki healer in Seattle, I had the opportunity to collaborate with incredible individuals across various creative fields.

What do you hope to bring to the Vibe community?

Kelsil: It’s a bit challenging to put into words because so much of what attracts me to Vibe is exactly what I’m excited to help elevate even further!

I’m drawn to the welcoming, vibrant atmosphere, the emphasis on celebrating diverse forms of expression, and the countless opportunities to connect with others in meaningful ways while uplifting one another’s work.

What is one thing you want Vibe members and visitors to know about you?

Kelsi: I love small talk! If you ever need a break from whatever you’re working on, come on over and chat. I’m always open to hearing about your recommendations, places you’ve recently traveled to, or general fun facts or trivia.

What does community mean to you?

Kelsi: Community, to me, is a place where there is connection, not just through shared interests, but through understanding, respect, and empathy.

There is collaboration, collective growth, shared celebrations and even shared losses. The idea that it’s this connective web of people playing to their strengths and pulling each other up, rather than pushing others down.

You currently have a part time role at Vibe, which means we *know* you’re working on other things, too. How do you spend your time when you’re not on the Vibe clock?

Kelsi: I love keeping busy, which means I always have a few projects going. One exciting venture I’m working on is launching my Notary business, Peninsula Notary Services, which will have a soft launch in early February.

In addition to that, my passion project is my jewelry business, and managing the Free Little Art Gallery located next to Saboteur in Bremerton.

What’s your favorite spot in Kitsap (or beyond) to unwind or get inspired?

Kelsi: A particular favorite weekend spot to grab lunch at is Butcher & Baker in Port Gamble.

While I’m based out of Bremerton, I truly enjoy exploring the greater Kitsap area and spend quite a bit of time in Poulsbo, Port Gamble, and Bainbridge. As an active member of BARN, I can often be found taking a class there or dropping into their open studio hours.

What’s the last book, podcast, or show that you loved?

Kelsi: I’m currently watching Shrinking on AppleTV and really enjoying it! Something about seeing Harrison Ford using Gen Z lingo is so satisfying.

What’s a fun fact about you that people might not know?

Kelsi: Because I grew up in the city of Seattle and then lived on Capitol Hill throughout my college years and beyond, I didn’t learn to drive until I was 27. I’m not exactly sure that it’s a fun fact, but it is definitely an interesting one.

OK. It’s time for some rapid fire…

Morning person or night owl?
Kelsi: Night owl! But I do love an early morning during the summer!

Coffee, tea, or something else?
Kelsi: Coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Kelsi: Surround yourself with individuals who have different strengths from you.

What’s one bucket-list item you hope to check off soon?
Kelsi: “Soon” might be a relative term, but an area on my bucket list of places to visit is Petra, a World Heritage site in Jordan.

I love small talk! If you ever need a break from whatever you’re working on, come on over and chat. I’m always open to hearing about your recommendations, places you’ve recently traveled to, or general fun facts or trivia.
