Meet Your New Host Alicia Maxwell

At Vibe, our Hosts are the glue that holds the whole place together—your go‑to crew for questions, directions, and the occasional distraction when you need a break from your screen. They’re the first faces you see, the energy‑setters, and the heartbeat of our community.

Alicia brings so much heart, humor, and lived experience to this role. Get to know her below, and be sure to say hi next time you see her up at the front desk.

Alicia joins the Vibe Coworks team as one of our newest Hosts, bringing a blend of creativity, lived experience, and genuine heart to the front desk. With her bright energy, easy humor, and natural ability to make people feel seen, she’s quickly becoming one of the familiar faces that make Vibe feel like home.

When she’s not supporting members, Alicia is building a new chapter of her entrepreneurial journey—reviving her beauty roots through High Brow Beauty Bar, coaching clients toward more aligned self‑care, and stepping into her passion for storytelling and personal growth. She brings depth, resilience, and a whole lot of sparkle to everything she does, and we’re thrilled to have her as part of the Vibe community.

Tell us a little about yourself and what you’ve been up to lately.

Alicia: I’ve been up to so much lately! I’m currently rebuilding my beauty business in a new way—launching High Brow Beauty Bar in Silverdale. I spent the first 20 years of my adult life as a full‑time beautician and was a local salon owner for 10 of those years. After some traumatic experiences and major burnout, I closed my salon in 2022 and briefly used the space as a boudoir photography and micro‑elopement studio.

Since then, I’ve been in what I call my “career ho era” —trying out lots of different ways of working and earning. I’ve bartended, spent a couple of years in cell phone sales as a “mobile expert,” and rediscovered my love for weddings as an officiant. At the same time, I’ve been building a virtual coaching business where I help people create cleaner, greener, more aligned self‑care routines. I believe success starts when you truly love what you see in the mirror, and that the most important relationship we build is the one we have with ourselves. I’m basically your hype girl and confidence fairy godmother

Until last year, I was also a full‑time caretaker for my two senior Labradors. They both passed away in 2025 after 15 and 16 years together. I’ll still cry if you ask me about them—but tears are healing, so it’s okay.

What first brought you to Vibe?

Alicia: I started coming to CreativeMornings to break out of my self‑isolating introvert habits, and I just loved the vibe of the space

What made you want to step into the Space Captain role?

Alicia: I have terrible internet and cell service at home, so when I saw the Space Captain position open, it felt like the perfect opportunity to meet new people and have a reliable place to get my online work done.

What are you most excited about in this new chapter at Vibe?

Alicia: I’m excited to be part of a team again and to be surrounded by all the entrepreneurial energy in the space.

What do you hope to bring to the Vibe community as a Space Captain?

Alicia: Good energy, a helpful attitude, and my own unique perspective.

When you’re not at Vibe, what are you working on or passionate about right now?

Alicia: I’m learning the world of online entrepreneurship and transitioning from brick‑and‑mortar to virtual. I’m also working on overcoming some pretty intense stage fright so I can step into motivational speaking and storytelling.

Where’s your go-to place in Kitsap (or beyond) to recharge or get inspire?

Alicia: Nature, always. I love places like Heritage Park, Green Mountain, Guillemot Cove, or even just walking around Old Town Silverdale by the water.

What’s the last book, podcast, or show that stuck with you?

Alicia: I’m finishing Journey of Souls by Dr. Michael Newton right now, and it is totally blowing my mind 🤯

What’s something about you that people might be surprised to learn?

Alicia: I secretly aspire to be a hip‑hop dance fitness instructor and a yoga teacher. I actually am certified and teach a virtual dance‑fitness class once a week… I’m just the only one in class right now…

If you could host any event at Vibe, what would it be?

Alicia: Dance party… or maybe a dog social (mostly so I could pet people’s dogs)
