Meet Our New Community Coordinator: Genesis Steele

The heartbeat of our community is felt every day from the first coffee poured in the morning to the countless connections sparked throughout the day. It takes a special kind of person to keep that rhythm steady, welcoming, and full of possibility.

Enter Genesis Steel. As our Community Coordinator, she’s the friendly face you’ll see at the front desk, ready to answer questions, celebrate wins, and help make your workday run smoothly. With a background in customer service and management, patient care, and residential cleaning, and a passion for supporting people, she brings both warmth and know-how to the Vibe experience.

Get to know Genesis.

Genesis Steele joined the Vibe Coworks team in August 2025 as our new Community Coordinator. With her easy laugh, welcoming spirit, and genuine excitement to meet new people, she’s quickly become a friendly and familiar face at the front desk.

When she’s not supporting members at Vibe, Genesis is a dedicated student working on her prerequisites for Sonography and a proud mom to a toddler who keeps her on her toes. Between family, studies, and community, she brings warmth, energy, and a down-to-earth sense of humor to everything she does.

Tell us a little about yourself and your background.

Genesis: I was born and raised in Bremerton, and graduated from Bremerton High School where I did a lot of volunteer work- that’s where my passion for serving the community really began. I’m a mom to a crazy toddler boy, I love to cook, and I spend most of my free time writing, serving at my church, hanging out with friends, or just chilling and vibing to music. I also own a cleaning business, though I’m thankfully slowing down to focus on school. I’m on track to graduate from a sonography program in 2027!

What drew you to Vibe, and what are you most excited about in your new role?

Genesis: I love community. I’m so excited to meet and interact with all the personalities that come through the doors every day. Joining the team at Vibe gives me the chance to build connections with so many people and to learn a little bit rom everyone along the way. I’m a firm believer that you take a piece of everyone you meet.

What do you hope to bring to the Vibe Community?

Genesis: I hope to bring my big heart to Vibe in a community where it can thrive. Too often I’ve seen caring and loving people get taken advantage of, so I’m excited to be in an environment where I can use those qualities in a healthy and beneficial way. I can be shy sometimes, but underneath my shell is someone who LOVES to crack jokes-so needless to say, I’m also hoping to add plenty of smiles and laughs around Vibe.

What kind of work, projects, or passions are you most focused on outside of Vibe?

Genesis: I’m starting school for sonography, which I’m very excited about. I also love to write poetry and hope to one day find the courage to share it. If I’m not in class or somewhere with a pen in my hand, you can usually find me doing my most important job-being a mom! My son and I are literally attached at the hip- he’s my “broke bestie”, and he definitely has a way of bringing out the child in me. He might just be one of the funniest little people, but after all, I am his mom…so maybe jokes are genetic!

Where’s your favorite spot in Kitsap (or beyond) to recharge or get inspired?

Genesis: Anywhere by the water or on a trail. I’m most likely not hiking it- but enjoying the trees for sure.

What’s the last book, podcast, or show that really stuck with you?

Genesis: When my child isn’t making me watch Moana for the 25th time in a week, I love listening to the With The Perrys podcast every Wednesday. If you’re looking for good Christian content that also speaks to African American culture, they really hit the nail on the head.

What’s something about you that people might be surprised to learn?

Genesis: I love poetry and actually write my own.
