Gather, Wayzgoose Kitsap

2023 Wayzgoose Kitsap Print Season

This exhibition showcases a selection of prints from Gather, part of Wayzgoose Kitsap’s 2023 print season. Created through a dynamic community effort, these works capture the spirit of collaboration, storytelling, and artistic expression.

Featuring artists from diverse backgrounds—including students, community groups, and independent creatives—the collection reflects themes of unity and shared experience. Participants from Aquinas Academy, Olympic College, Bigfoot Vinyl, Coffee Oasis, and Kitsap Pride contributed to this vibrant display, working alongside mentors and fellow artists to bring their visions to life.

With bold imagery and powerful narratives, the exhibit celebrates the intersection of art and community, honoring the tradition of large-scale printmaking and the creative energy that fuels Wayzgoose Kitsap.

About Wayzgoose

The first known Wayzgoose, thrown in 1681, was a boozy summer feast hosted by a Letterpress Printer for his Print Shop employees. The printing community embraces this annual tradition, often sharing a harvest goose…hence the name, Wayzgoose.

Today, the Wayzgoose has been reimagined as a public arts festival. At Wayzgoose Kitsap, local artists print hand-carved linoleum blocks with full-size steamrollers in the Marvin Williams Center of Bremerton.
