Whispering Woodland

Abstract works by Laurie Barmore

The abstract works in this exhibition are created with acrylic and mixed media on canvas and wood panel. Intuitive and expressive, they explore the interplay of line, color, and movement.

This small collection is part of a larger body of work that draws inspiration from mosses and tree roots as a metaphor for resilience and connection. Reflecting on the impact of climate change and human carelessness on the rainforest, the artist seeks to capture the quiet, delicate stories of these vital ecosystems—listening for the whispers of the trees and the creatures that call them home.
