2024 White Tie Picnic in the Park

Join us for an epic annual community picnic in celebration of International Coworking Day in Kitsap, and the power of bringing people together.

  • Live music performed by Aaron McFadden
  • Lawn games
  • Zero proof cocktails, crafted with Dhōs non-alcoholic spirits
  • Lemonade and icecream treats
  • Prizes for the most festive picnic area, best dressed in white, etc.
  • Good food + great company! (BYO picnic)

Come dressed head-to-toe in white, and bring a picnic to enjoy together at Centennial Park. Blankets will be provided, as well as a limited number of tables for those requiring ADA accommodations.

Get creative! Let the inner designer in you run wild, and bring whimsical white “table” decor for your picnic area, too.

Prizes will be awarded for best picnic blanket decor, best dressed, and more.

RSVPs are appreciated, but not required, as they help in the logistics of making sure we have enough blankets laid out for all before you arrive.

The White Tie Picnic is a proudly no-alcohol event. Bring your friends and family, but leave the booze at home!

Parking

Event parking is available in the lots directly adjacent to Centennial Park, off of 7th Avenue. Please do NOT park at The Centennial (where Vibe Coworks is located). Parking at The Centennial is reserved for dine-in customers of Crabtree Kitchen + Bar.

Dress for the occasion!

The theme for this event is all things white. Wear white from head-to-toe if you can! Skip “pop” colors and stick with white. e.g. white hats, white jackets, white wigs, white tie or bow tie, white sneakers… Originality is encouraged, as long as it stays stylish and tasteful.

Bring all necessary supplies for your picnic (but NO blanket)

i.e. reusable food, plates, silverware, glasses / water bottles, low-sitting lawn chairs (or skip chairs and sit on your blanket!), fun all-white! decorations (think florals, battery-operated candles) Blankets will be provided; we prefer that you use ours!

Wear white, but think green

Join us in our endeavor to make this as near-zero waste of an event as possible. Please strive to bring only reusable dinner supplies, decor, costume pieces, etc.

No alcohol!

This is a delightfully alcohol-free event, and we’re proud of that. Please do NOT bring alcohol to the picnic. Not only will you be breaking the law; you will also be jeopardizing our ability to host the event again in the future. Instead, BYO glass and join us in enjoying some incredible handcrafted non-alcohol cocktails by Dhos Spirits.

What should I bring to the picnic?

1. Food for your picnic. If you’re looking to pick something up quick, the nearest food vendors are ChocMo, Pho Kim Chi and Mori Sushi Bento.

2. A glass or cup if you’d like to enjoy the zero-proof cocktails that will be provided

3. White / garden-themed decor for your blanket area (blankets will be provided—we prefer that you use ours!)

4. A friend (or 10!)

Optional: a low-sitting chair if you’d like

Will there be food available?

This is a BYO food event, though we will have non-alcoholic cocktails, lemonade and ice cream available on-site. The nearest food vendors are ChocMo, Pho Kim Chi and Mori Sushi Bento.

Do I have to wear white?

You are welcome at the picnic no matter what you’re wearing!

That said, there is something pretty magical about dozens of people all showing up ‘in costume’ together, and we invite you to get into it! The theme for this event is all things white, but if there’s no time to dress up, PLEASE don’t let it keep you from showing up. Everyone is welcome, just as you are.

Can I bring alcohol?

Nope. This is a delightfully alcohol-free event, and we’re proud of that. Please do NOT bring alcohol to the picnic. Not only will you be breaking the law; you will also be jeopardizing our ability to host the event again in the future.

Can I bring a chair?

You bet! Gigantic communal picnic blankets are provided (it’s part of the fun). You’re welcome to sit right down on the blanket, or bring along a lawn chair if that is more comfortable for you. (Low-sitting chairs preferred). Please contact hello@vibecoworks.com if you require ADA seating options.

Can I still come if I didn’t RSVP?

Absolutely! This event is free and open to all. RSVPs are a huge help to us with logistics, making sure that we have enough blanket space and beverages available for all, but everyone is welcome, and no one will be turned away.
